Got a call just now and it sounded like a pre-recorded Chinese message. I hang up straight away and blocked the number.

I get calls from this number also on a mobile number, because I get so many calls I do answer, when I get the Chinese burble ( instantly) I hit the red button then BLOCK this number

Went through to my voice-mail, which ended up with an automated Chinese voice rabbiting on in Mandarin. I have blocked the number. Why does our government let this happen in our country? Just over it...if this issue existed in China (Aussies harassing the local Chinese population) our country would be lambasted to buggery.

I get a call from this number once a week and each time I block the caller, a new number is used. I never pick up and the voicemail is all in mandarin. I believe I might be at risk of ID theft. I think I will change my voicemail greeting so it does not say my name anymore.

Just had this call & didn't answer it, I let it go to voice mail. Checked my voice mail & whoever the guy was that left a voice mail definitely didn't speak english :-/ Im so over these calls. Gotten to the point where I dont answer my phone unless I know the number first.

This number 02 8595 8002 is listed on the website of Consulate General of the People Republic's of China in Sydney. I can read Chinese. It's said on the website that this number is for incoming call inquiry of visa/passport application, but not for making outgoing calls. It also warn people who received call from this number to be cautious of scam.
